Meet your fellow U3A members at Palmer's Café in Shrewsbury town centre (Claremont Street, SY1 1QG) between 2.00pm and 4.00pm on the last Friday of the month (except December). This monthly social event is open to members and new members, especially those not attached to any of our study groups. Prospective members are most welcome at this opportunity to find out more about Shrewsbury U3A and to get their questions answered.
Coffee Time is an informal meeting, giving new members the chance to ask and enquire about the study groups and to gather advice from existing members. It's an opportunity for those who are unable to attend the monthly meetings at Theatre Severn to meet other U3A members outside of the study groups.
Our New Member Facilitator is normally on hand to assist new and prospective members. Our New Groups Facilitator is normally on hand to help you set up a study group of your own. Our Equipment Manager is normally present if you have any queries about using our online membership system (Beacon).
Shrewsbury U3A members meet in the ground floor function room through the double doors to the right of the café service area. Coffee, tea, cakes and snacks can be ordered at café service area and are kindly brought through to the function room.
Shrewsbury U3A organises regular trips and excursions. Some outings are arranged by individual groups for their own members but we have created some special groups that organise trips for all our U3A members (and sometimes guests are permitted to come along too). Please click on the link to our Trips webpage for further details.
